30 Day Book Talk - Day 6

Day 06

A book that makes you sad


I have a couple. Is that cheating?

The first is Lisa Jewell's One Hit Wonder. I love the book but it does make me sad that it's too late for the sisters.

The second is one I read over the summer - Dorothy Koomson's The Woman He Loved Before. Again, I loved the book but it was so heartbreaking and harrowing at times.

    I haven't read the Lisa Jewell book but I loved the Dorothy Koomson book.

    I read One Hit Wonder ten years ago while housesitting for my sister while she was on holiday so re-reading it brings back memories of being a young, free and single eighteen year old. Those were the days!
