Christmas Song, Fact & Cracker Joke of the Day
Christmas Fact:
Carols began as an old English custom called wassailing, toasting neighbours to a long life. They weren't sung in churches until they were introduced by St Francis of Assisi in the 13th century.
Cracker Joke:
Why does Santa have three gardens?
So he can 'ho ho ho'!

Thanks for the info about the carols. Sometimes I think people think customs always were, when they weren't.
ReplyDeleteYour joke's cute!
I found it really interesting searching for the Christmas facts. There is going to be one each day until 20th Dec (I go on holiday the day after).
ReplyDeleteFinding the jokes were fun too - they're all going to be cheesy!
