Hello Kitty Bookmark

I saw these heart bookmarks a few weeks ago and thought it would be a great Valentines craft for us to do. But then I forgot and Valentine's Day passed. One afternoon when The Partner had taken the girls out, I was twiddling my thumbs (not doing all the stuff I always wish I could do if only I had an afternoon to myself...) and spotted the paint sample thingies (technical term there) and decided to give it a go.

Except I had a problem. I couldn't find my heart-shaped punch. I had a choice between a Christmas tree, a square or Hello Kitty.

Unlike in the original bookmarks, I added background colour to my Hello Kitties by trimming another paint sample thingy and sticking it to the back. It only took me a few minutes and I had a (free) bookmark.

  1. That looks great! And very creative too.
I might have to go and get some colour charts now just so I can have a go at making one too.

  2. Thank you, Amy. It looks much better than the tatty old bus tickets I usually end up using!
